Washington (Web Desk): US President Donald Trump has once again described the longstanding Middle East conflict as a “thousands of years old” issue, expressing skepticism that it might take nearly three thousand years more to resolve.
In an interview with American media, Trump said his efforts are not limited to bringing peace to Gaza alone but extend to achieving comprehensive and sustainable peace throughout the region.
“We don’t just want peace in Gaza; we want full peace in the entire region. If that happens, it would be an incredible achievement,” he remarked.
President Trump’s comments come amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, especially in Gaza, which has drawn global attention.
Meanwhile, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt emphasized that President Trump is closely monitoring Hamas’s reaction to the proposed peace plan for Gaza.
“The President will draw a clear ‘red line’ based on Hamas’s behavior. We hope Hamas will accept this peace initiative,” she said.
