Islamabad (Web Desk): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has dismissed the miscellaneous petition of Intelligence Bureau (IB) seeking recusal of Justice Babar Sattar from audio leaks case.
Justice Babar Sattar of IHC heard the IB petition for withdrawing the objection over bench in audio leaks case.
During the hearing of the case Assistant Attorney General (AAG) told the court that IB wants to withdraw its petition related to objection on bench in audio leaks case.
Justice Babar Sattar remarked your petition related to objection has already been dismissed. When order comes you will get it.
The court further remarked notice has been issued to Director General (DG) IB as to why contempt of court proceedings be not initiated against him. It has been asked in the order who had given authority to file petition.
“Whatever reply you have to give, you should give it after the order comes, Justice Sattar.
The court dismissed the miscellaneous petition of IB regarding withdrawal of objection on bench.
It is pertinent to mention here IHC during previous hearing of alleged audio leaks case had rejected the miscellaneous petitions filed by Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), and the IB.
