The smartphone that lights fires when you need it most

Beijing (Web Desk): Chinese tech company Oukitel has introduced a one-of-a-kind smartphone that not only functions like a regular phone but can also ignite a fire like a lighter.

Named WP63, this device is designed for emergencies or camping trips, allowing users to start a fire when matches or traditional lighters aren’t available. The phone features an electric coil that heats up, hidden under a protective cover, which can be activated through a dedicated app to safely ignite flames.

Apart from its fire-starting ability, the WP63 comes loaded with other impressive features. It houses a massive 20,000 mAh battery capable of lasting several days without charging. The phone also includes a built-in USB-C cable to charge other devices and a powerful loudspeaker for audio needs.

Priced at around $500, the WP63 is notably bulky with a thickness of 27mm, making it extremely sturdy—almost like a brick—while delivering its unique combination of smartphone and lighter functions.
