Israel is pushing things back to 'square one', says Hamas

Gaza (Web Desk): Hamas has said that Israel is attempting to revert to square one by requesting an extension to the initial phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, according to Reuters.

On Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office confirmed that it had agreed to a proposal from US President Donald Trump’s envoy, which called for a temporary ceasefire during the Ramadan and Passover periods.

This move came just hours after the first phase of the previously established ceasefire deal had expired.

In a televised statement, senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan criticized Israel's actions, asserting that the occupation was seeking to undo the agreement by offering alternative proposals.
