Karachi (Staff Report): A boy and a girl were killed for taking a picture together, said police on Monday.
Marina, a college student from Qasba Colony, met her cousin and betrothed Salman in Karachi, where they snapped a selfie together.
Salman showed the selfie to his relatives and friends, over which the girl’s family took offense.
Police said that Marina’s father gunned down Salman in Swat first and then he returned to Karachi on November 7, where he killed his daughter as well.
On Nov 8, Marina was found dead in her room and she was buried the same day.
Pirabad police station have arrested Marina’s father and grandfather on the complaint of Marina’s mother.
