T20I tri-series: Afghanistan defeat Pakistan by 18 runs

Sharjah (Web Desk): Afghanistan outclassed Pakistan by 18 runs in the fourth match of the ongoing tri-nation T20 series, delivering a solid all-round performance.

After winning the toss, Afghanistan opted to bat first and posted a competitive total of 169 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Top contributions came from Ibrahim Zadran, who scored 65 runs, and Sediqullah, who added 64 runs to the total, forming the backbone of Afghanistan’s innings.

For Pakistan, Faheem Ashraf stood out with the ball, taking 4 wickets, while Saim Ayub bowled economically, giving away only 18 runs in 4 overs and claiming one wicket.

Chasing a target of 170, Pakistan’s batting lineup fell short, managing 151 runs for the loss of 9 wickets by the end of their 20 overs.

Haris Rauf top-scored for Pakistan with 34 runs, while Fakhar Zaman added 25, Agha Salman scored 20, and Sahibzada Farhan contributed 18 runs.
