Pakistan Army continues relief operations in flood-hit areas

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): The Pakistan Army continues its extensive relief efforts across multiple flood-affected regions of the country, working in coordination with local authorities to assist displaced and vulnerable populations.

In Sialkot, troops have distributed essential food supplies to those impacted by the floods, while medical camps set up by the Army have treated nearly 300 individuals, including women and children, free of cost.

Similar medical support operations are being carried out in Narowal, Zafarwal, Wazirabad, and nearby areas, where over 500 people have received necessary healthcare services and medicines without any charges.

Relief camps have also been set up in Pattoki, Bahram, Tahliwala, and Ramgarh to provide temporary shelter and assistance to flood victims.

In a separate operation near Manga Mandi, Army personnel conducted an emergency rescue mission that successfully led to the recovery of three individuals who had gone missing during the floods.

Meanwhile, proactive measures are underway in Muzaffargarh and Doaba, where the Army has developed a comprehensive response strategy to tackle ongoing and potential flood threats.

As part of these preparations, a thorough inspection was carried out at critical locations, including a breach point on the River Chenab, to assess the effectiveness of current flood prevention systems.

In addition, joint relief teams have undergone practical training exercises to ensure smooth coordination and rapid evacuation in collaboration with the civil administration.
