Saudi Arabia reverses ban, allows children aged 12, above for Hajj

Makkah / Islamabad (Web Desk): The Saudi government has reportedly reversed its recent decision restricting children under 15 from performing Hajj, restoring the previous policy that allows younger pilgrims.

According to updates from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, children aged 12 years and above will now once again be permitted to perform Hajj, following revisions made in response to public demand and pilgrim facilitation.

Under the new guidelines, visas that were previously canceled due to age restrictions are now being reinstated.

Authorities have also informed airlines and Hajj missions to allow eligible children aged 12 and above to travel.

The decision has brought relief and joy to thousands of families whose children were earlier affected by visa cancellations.

Saudi authorities have emphasized that all child pilgrims must have complete vaccination records and required health certificates to ensure their safety during the pilgrimage.
