President Zardari felicitates Italian leadership on Republic Day

Islamabad (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari has conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to Italy on the occasion of its Republic Day, extending best wishes to Italian President Sergio Mattarella and the people of the country.

In a message issued by the President’s Secretariat, President Zardari noted that Pakistan and Italy enjoy a strong and enduring friendship founded on mutual respect, close cooperation, and a shared vision for peace, progress, and prosperity.

He voiced confidence that the relationship between the two nations would continue to expand and become even more meaningful in the years to come.

The President also emphasized the importance Pakistan places on its partnership with the European Union (EU), while appreciating Italy’s positive contribution within the bloc toward fostering dialogue, collaboration, and international peace and stability.

Reiterating Pakistan’s dedication to deepening its engagement with the EU, President Zardari reaffirmed the country’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with the EU across various fields of common interest.
