Pakistan delegation in New York to meet UN chief, UNSC members 

New York (Web Desk): A high-level nine-member multiparty delegation from Pakistan, headed by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has arrived in New York to engage in a series of meetings aimed at presenting Pakistan’s viewpoint on the recent Indian aggression.

During the stay, the delegation is scheduled to meet with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, the President of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), and ambassadors representing both permanent and non-permanent members of the UN Security Council (UNSC).

Following the New York visit, the delegation will continue its diplomatic outreach in Washington, London, and Brussels.

Meanwhile, another Pakistani delegation, led by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Syed Tariq Fatemi, is set to visit Moscow starting Monday.

These diplomatic missions are part of Pakistan’s broader effort to convey its position on the evolving regional situation.

The delegations aim to highlight Pakistan’s responsible and restrained response in the face of India’s provocative actions, which Islamabad asserts are in violation of international law.

Emphasis will be placed on Pakistan’s commitment to peace through responsibility and the preference for dialogue and diplomacy over conflict and confrontation.

The Pakistani representatives will call on the international community to play its role in fostering lasting peace in South Asia.

A particular focus of their message will be the urgency of restoring the normal functioning of the Indus Waters Treaty, which has been under strain due to recent tensions.

Throughout their respective visits, the delegations will hold meetings with the leadership of international institutions, public officials, lawmakers, think tank experts, media personnel, and members of the Pakistani diaspora, aiming to build support and understanding for Pakistan’s stance on the regional developments.
