Islamabad (Web Desk): The accountability court in Islamabad on Tuesday granted the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) 13-day physical remand of former president and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in Park Lane case.
Earlier on Tuesday, the anti-graft watchdog sought a 14-day physical remand in the Park Lane Company case.
On Monday, the NAB arrested the former president in the Park Lane case.
According to the anti-corruption watchdog sources, Asif Zardari allegedly purchased 2,460 kanal land in Islamabad through the park lane company.
The property which was purchased in Rs620 million is worth Rs2 billion, they added.
The sources further said that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto is also a suspect in the Park Lane case.
Asif Ali Zardari, who is already under the NAB custody, had withdrawn his bail applications from the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in the Park Lane Company, bulletproof cars, and Toshakhana cases.
The PPP co chairman was arrested by NAB from Islamabad on June 10 after the IHC rejected his interim bail in the fake bank accounts case.
