Lahore (Web Desk): A woman was allegedly raped on Jaranwala Road near Nankana Sahib.
According to First Information Report (FIR) the accused in the pretext of lift drugged the woman and raped her. They threw the woman naked and fled. The incident took place on Jaranwala Road near Mangtanwala police station.
Taking notice of the incident, police officials have registered a case and started searching for the accused, however, no progress has been made yet.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Punjab, Usman Bazdar, sought a report of the incident from RPO Sheikhupura and ordered the immediate arrest of the accused.
Provincial Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan, while giving details of the incident, said that rape incident took place on September 24 but the victim filed an application against the rape on September 27.
Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan said that after lodging application, the victim left Mangtanwala for Lahore.
We found the victim in Lahore and got her medical treatment. The incident of rape of the victim is yet to be further investigated.
Earlier, a woman was gang raped on Lahore-Sialkot Motorway.
Police have arrested one accused involved in the incident but the prime accused still remains at large.
