Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said that Pakistan is officially serving as the mediator in ongoing contacts between Iran and the United States.
He stated that while several countries have expressed willingness to facilitate the process, Pakistan currently holds the formal role of intermediary in the negotiations.
Baghaei added that if a final decision is made regarding the holding of talks, an official announcement will be issued accordingly.
The development comes as diplomatic communication between Tehran and Washington continues through indirect channels, with Pakistan playing a facilitating role in the exchange of proposals between the two sides.
