Nowshehra (Web Desk): The funeral prayers for Jamiat Ulema Islam-Sami (JUI-S) chief Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq, along with three other victims of the recent blast in Akora Khattak, were held at Darul Uloom Haqqania.
Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq was laid to rest in his family’s graveyard following the ceremony.
The funeral was attended by numerous political, religious, and social figures, as well as students from the seminary.
Among those present were former Jamat Islami leader Siraj-ul-Haq, Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) governor Haji Ghulam Ali, the Afghan Consul General, and other notable public figures.
The blast, which took place during Friday prayers, resulted in seven fatalities and left 20 people injured.
Meanwhile, a First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged at the Countet Terrorism Department (CTD) police station in Mardan, initiated by Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq's son, as authorities work to investigate the attack and determine its perpetrators.
