Islamabad(Web Desk): According to the latest data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the inflation rate in June 2025 was recorded at 3.23%, marking a 0.23% increase compared to May 2025.
Despite the slight month-on-month rise, the average inflation rate for the fiscal year 2024–25 stood at 4.49%, significantly below the federal government’s target of 12%, reflecting a notable improvement in economic stability and price control measures.
In June, urban inflation increased by 0.08%, while rural areas saw a higher monthly rise of 0.47%. On a year-on-year basis, inflation in urban regions was recorded at 3%, whereas in rural areas it stood at 3.58%.
The Ministry of Finance had projected the June inflation rate to remain between 3% and 4%, which aligns closely with the actual figures.
Experts suggest that these statistics demonstrate the government’s effective policy approach toward controlling inflation and maintaining macroeconomic stability in a challenging global economic environment.
