Islamabad (Web Desk): the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued initial list of the candidates of national and all the four provincial assemblies, whose nomination papers for the general elections 2024 have been accepted or rejected.
According a press release issued by the ECP, the nomination papers of 22,7011 candidates have been accepted on general seats of the national and four provincial assemblies' seats.
A total of 25,951 candidates had filed their nomination papers to contest the elections. Out of them, 3,240 have been rejected by the ECP.
According to the electoral body, 7,473 nomination papers were filed on the national assembly seats. Out of them, 6,449 were accepted while 1024 were rejected.
Similarly, 18,478 nomination papers were filed by the candidates on all the four provincial assembly seats. Out of which, 16,262 were accepted while 2,216 were rejected by the ECP.
