Govt increases petrol price by Rs1, diesel by Rs7 per litre

Islamabad (Web Desk): The federal government on Friday announced new prices of petroleum products for the next fortnight.

This price hike will come into effect on February 1 (Saturday).

According a press release issued by the Finance Division, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs257.13 per litre as against its existing price of Rs256.13 per litre.

Meanwhile, the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) was increased by Rs7 per litre and it would be available at Rs267.95 per litre as compared to its previous price of Rs260.95.

“The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has reviewed and adjusted consumer prices for petroleum products in view of recent fluctuations in the international oil market” the notification said.
