PML-N to emerge victorious in AJK polls, says Info Minister Attaullah Tarar

Lahore (Web Desk): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Saturday said he was confident the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would emerge with a strong mandate in the ongoing Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections.

Addressing a ceremony in Lahore, maintained that the party had earned the trust of the people through its focus on development projects, effective governance, and a consistent commitment to public welfare, placing it in a favourable position in the electoral contest.

Tarar said that no conspiracy aimed at the reserved migrant seats in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) would be allowed to succeed.

Tarar said that the PML-N believes in politics centered on public service and development, adding that the party would form the government in AJK after the ongoing electoral process.

He said PML-N candidates had secured victories in the Mirpur Division, while party workers conducted an energetic and effective election campaign.

The minister said the people of Kashmir and their forefathers had made immense sacrifices for the Kashmir cause, adding that the PML-N had consistently raised the issue at international forums.

Tarar said that certain elements were attempting to create controversy over the migrant seats, but vowed that such efforts would not be allowed to undermine the democratic process. He added that public support for the PML-N was evident across AJK.

He further said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had strongly presented the Kashmir issue at the United Nations, while the governments led by Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif had completed numerous development projects across AJK.

The information minister maintained that every political party has the democratic right to participate in politics, but said no other party could match the PML-N in terms of public service, development, and welfare, nor did any rival party possess a comparable vision for serving the people.
