Renowned lawyer Khawaja Shamsul Islam killed in Karachi firing incident

Karachi (Web Desk): Renowned lawyer Khawaja Shamsul Islam tragically lost his life on Friday after sustaining critical injuries in a gun attack in Karachi’s Defence area.

According to police, the incident occurred shortly after he exited a mosque, where he had attended the funeral prayers of a prominent local trader.

As he stepped outside, unidentified assailants opened fire, leaving him and two others seriously injured. All three victims were immediately transported to a nearby private hospital for emergency treatment.

Despite medical efforts, Khawaja Shamsul Islam could not survive the attack and was pronounced dead during treatment due to the severity of his wounds.

Police teams have cordoned off the area and are actively collecting evidence from the scene.

An investigation is underway to identify the attackers and uncover the motive behind the shooting. So far, no suspects have been apprehended.
