Lahore (Web Desk): In the 8th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11, Multan Sultans defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen by six wickets after successfully chasing a massive 226-run target, thanks to a brilliant century by Sahibzada Farhan.
The match was played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, where Hyderabad won the toss and opted to bat first. They posted an impressive total of 225 runs for the loss of five wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Hyderabad’s aggressive opener Moaz Sadaqat smashed 62 runs off just 26 balls, while returning hard-hitter Sharjeel Khan contributed a quick 51 runs from 26 deliveries.
Other notable contributions came from Saim Ayub who scored 27 runs, Usman Khan with 25, Saad Ali adding 23, and Irfan Khan making 22 runs.
For Multan Sultans, Mohammad Wasim was the most successful bowler with two wickets, while Ashton Turner, Peter Siddle, and Mohammad Nawaz claimed one wicket each.
This was Multan Sultans’ second match of the tournament, while Hyderabad Kingsmen were playing their third game.
Meanwhile, the previous day’s match between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi was washed out due to rain, with both teams awarded one point each.
