PAFDA will ensure quality standards for food, agriculture and medicines, says Maryam

Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that the Punjab Agriculture, Food and Drug Authority (PAFDA) was established with the public’s welfare as the foremost priority, noting that the absence of modern testing laboratories had been creating serious difficulties for exporters as well as consumers.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the authority, She described the institution as a practical reflection of the government’s commitment to public service.

Maryam added that the scope of satellite crime scene units is being expanded to cover 38 districts across the province, a move aimed at ensuring higher standards, greater transparency, and stronger public protection.

The Punjab CM emphasized that the establishment of PAFDA is the result of collective efforts, reaffirming that the government will continue pursuing reforms to guarantee the availability of quality food items and safe medicines for the people.
