Iran says Strait of Hormuz decisions will be made by Iran and Oman, denies any ongoing nuclear negotiations.

Tehran (Web Desk): Iran has stated that any decisions regarding the administration and management of the Strait of Hormuz will be made solely by Iran and Oman, while emphasizing that its immediate focus remains on bringing the ongoing conflict to an end.

Speaking to the media, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said there are currently no negotiations taking place over Iran’s nuclear programme and that no agreement has been reached on the issue so far.

Addressing regional developments, Baghaei stressed that Tehran’s foremost priority at present is securing an end to the war and restoring peace and stability in the region.

He noted that efforts are concentrated on reducing tensions and preventing further escalation.

The spokesperson also provided insight into diplomatic contacts with the United States, confirming that communication channels between Tehran and Washington remain open despite the absence of any final breakthrough.

He said messages continue to be exchanged between the two sides, although discussions have yet to produce a conclusive outcome.

His remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and continued international attention on Iran’s nuclear activities, as well as broader efforts aimed at preventing further instability in the Middle East.

While no formal agreement has emerged, the continuation of indirect exchanges suggests that diplomatic engagement between Iran and the United States has not been completely halted.
