According to foreign news agency reports, Ibrahim Azizi, head of Iran’s Parliamentary National Security Committee, said that vessels of Russia and China will be granted preferential treatment while passing through the strategic waterway.

He stated that Iran will continue to strengthen cooperation with its close partner countries on a priority basis and is adopting a new strategic approach in this regard.

Azizi also noted that recent consultative meetings between Iran and Pakistan were significant; however, he clarified that the issue of transferring enriched uranium is not under discussion in the current negotiations.
