Govt cuts petrol, diesel prices by Rs22 per litre each

Islamabad (Web Desk): The federal government has announced a significant reduction in petroleum prices on the third day of Eid, providing major relief to the public.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the prices of petrol and diesel have been reduced by Rs22 per litre each, with immediate effect.

The announcement stated that the move aims to ease the financial burden on citizens and reduce the impact of inflation.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that providing relief to the public remains the government’s top priority, adding that efforts are being made to pass on the benefits of economic improvements to the people.

Meanwhile, international oil prices have also declined. Brent crude dropped by $1.46 per barrel to $92.25, while US crude fell by $0.73 to $88.17 per barrel.
