Washuk (Web Desk): At least 28 people, including women and children, were killed and several others injured when a passenger bus fell into a deep ravine in Balochistan’s Washuk district on Wednesday.
The bus was travelling from Gwadar to Quetta.
According to rescue officials, the accident took place after the tyre of the passenger bus burst.
The injured were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his deep grief over the loss of lives in a tragic traffic accident in Balochistan’s Washuk area.
The prime minister prayed to Allah Almighty for peace for the departed souls and sympathised with bereaved families.
Praying for the swift recovery of the injured, PM Shehbaz directed the authorities concerned to extend the best possible medical treatment to them.
“We stand by the grieved families in this hour of distress and express heartfelt sympathies with them,” he remarked.
Balochistan's Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti offered his condolences over the loss of lives in the horrific accident and prayed for those who were wounded.
The CM directed that the best medical facilities be provided to the injured, and prayed for their speedy recovery.
