President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have felicitated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his re-election to the office of the President of Turkiye.
The president in a tweet said, "His win is reflective of the trust posed in him by the people," the president said in a message to Erdogan.
President Alvi said Turkiye is a close friend and a country with which we have had brotherly relations for centuries.
"Pakistan and Turkiye have always stood by each other and I am confident that our relations would continue to prosper under your dynamic leadership," he said.
The president said he looked forward to working with President Erdogan closely and further expand bilateral cooperation with Turkiye in all areas of mutual interest.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday also felicitated Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his historic re-election as President of Turkiye.
In his congratulatory message on Twitter, the premier wrote ‘Heartiest congratulations to my dear brother President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his historic re-election as President, Republic of Turkiye.’
PM Shehbaz said Recep Tayyip Erdogan is one of few world leaders whose politics has been anchored in public service.
He said the Turkish President has been a pillar of strength for the oppressed Muslims and a fervent voice for their inalienable rights.
PM Shehbaz said Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s presidential victory and that of AKP in parliamentary elections is significant in so many ways, reflecting the trust and confidence of the Turkish people in his dynamic leadership.
The premier said the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Turkiye will continue to stay on an upward trajectory.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan claimed victory in the Turkiye's presidential elections on Sunday.
According to unofficial results, Erdogan won the race with 52.14%, while Kilicdaroglu got 47.86% of the vote, he said, adding that 99.43% of the ballot boxes have been opened so far.
His challenger Kemal Kilicdaroglu managed to secure 47.79 percent.
In a victory speech in Ankara, Erdogan pledged to leave all disputes behind and unite behind national values and dreams.
He said inflation was Turkey's most urgent issue.
