In phone call with Saudi FM, DPM Dar offers condolence over helicopter crash, discusses regional situation

Islamabad (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday held a telephone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to extend Pakistan's heartfelt condolences over the deadly helicopter crash in Ras Tanura.

During the conversation, DPM Dar conveyed sympathies on behalf of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Government of Pakistan, and the people of Pakistan over the tragic incident, which resulted in the loss of 14 precious lives.

Prince Faisal expressed gratitude for the message of condolence and appreciated Pakistan's sincere expression of solidarity during the difficult time.

The two foreign ministers also exchanged views on the latest regional developments, holding detailed discussions on the evolving situation and voicing deep concern over the current circumstances.

Reaffirming Pakistan's commitment to regional stability, Ishaq Dar said the country would continue to play its role in promoting lasting peace in line with the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.

Prince Faisal also informed his Pakistani counterpart of his intention to visit Pakistan at the earliest mutually convenient opportunity. Welcoming the proposal, Dar expressed hope that the visit would take place in the near future.
