CDF Asim Munir, Kuwaiti FM discuss regional security and steps to further strengthen bilateral cooperation

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi,  the military's media wing said on Wednesday.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two sides discussed regional security, matters of mutual interest, and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

The Kuwaiti foreign minister, who is on an official visit to Pakistan, was accompanied by Kuwait's Ambassador to Pakistan, Nasser Abdulrahman J. Al-Mutairi.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, the regional security environment, and measures to further expand cooperation between Pakistan and Kuwait.

Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to strengthening ties with Kuwait at all levels and underscored the deep-rooted brotherly relations between the two countries.

He also emphasized that Pakistan and Kuwait share a common vision for promoting regional peace, stability, and prosperity, and expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation would continue to grow across various sectors.
