PM Shehbaz lauds progress in Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan cooperation

Islamabad (Web Desk): Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed appreciation for the growing cooperation between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan, highlighting the positive momentum in bilateral relations.

During a meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday with a high-level delegation from the Kyrgyz Republic, led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov, the premier welcomed the successful conclusion of the 5th session of the Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan Joint Intergovernmental Commission.

He noted with satisfaction the signing of the Protocol and a number of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), describing them as meaningful developments in strengthening mutual collaboration.

PM Shehbaz said that these agreements mark significant progress in expanding trade ties, enhancing energy cooperation, improving regional connectivity, and promoting people-to-people contact between the two nations.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s dedication to advancing this partnership, the Prime Minister underscored the importance of promptly acting on the decisions made during the Intergovernmental Commission.

He stressed that timely implementation is essential to convert these understandings into practical and impactful results.

The Kyrgyz delegation, in turn, acknowledged Pakistan's efforts to deepen bilateral ties and expressed confidence that the Commission’s outcomes would pave the way for more focused and productive cooperation.

The two sides agreed to maintain close engagement across all sectors and reaffirmed their shared commitment to fostering stronger relations for the mutual benefit of their peoples.
