Bilawal alleges election manipulation in AJK, says PPP will fight for its mandate

Muzaffarabad (Web Desk): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has alleged that the party’s seats were “taken away” in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections, vowing that the PPP would continue its struggle to reclaim its mandate.

Addressing a workers’ convention in Muzaffarabad, Bilawal claimed that the PPP had won all 13 seats in Mirpur. He said those who believed the party would remain silent after the election results were mistaken, adding that the PPP would fight to recover what he described as its “100 percent seats.”

The PPP chairman alleged that the same tactics used in previous elections were repeated during the recent polls.

He said his party stands with the national interest and would not support the personal interests of any political group.

Bilawal said the state would have to decide whether the interests of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) were more important or the broader national interest.

He further stated that the PPP would not bow before anyone and would continue working for the welfare and service of the people.
