PM Shehbaz reaffirms Islamabad's commitment to Pak-China strategic partnership

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm resolve to further deepen the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership during a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, who called on him in Islamabad on Monday.

During the meeting, the prime minister conveyed his heartfelt greetings to Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang while recalling his visit to China in May this year.

PM Shehbaz stressed that Islamabad and Beijing would continue working hand in hand to translate the important understandings and agreements reached by the leadership of both countries into practical outcomes for the shared prosperity and well-being of their people.

The discussions also covered the prevailing regional landscape, with both sides exchanging views on the latest developments in the Middle East, Afghanistan, and South Asia.

Ambassador Jiang reaffirmed China's enduring friendship with Pakistan, describing the country as an "iron brother."

He said Beijing would remain steadfast in supporting Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity and would continue expanding cooperation to help advance the country's socio-economic progress.
