Interior Minister Naqvi visits National Police Academy, reviews construction work and training system

Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the National Police Academy, where he inspected the construction work of an 11-story hostel currently underway. The hostel is being built with 126 rooms, and the target is to complete the project within five months. The Interior Minister directed that while maintaining the pace of work, there should be no compromise on construction quality.

During the visit, Mohsin Naqvi also reviewed the academy’s swimming pool and watched a swimming competition among trainee officers. He encouraged the probationers and instructors and inspected the classrooms, officers’ mess, and the quality of food.

The Interior Minister met with the trainee officers to hear their feedback and suggestions. On the occasion, he also chaired an important meeting at the National Police Academy, reviewing the academy’s reorganization and the implementation of decisions taken in the previous meeting.

The meeting also discussed the attachment of trainee officers with FIA, forensic agencies, and other relevant institutions. During the briefing, it was informed that ASPs completing the National Command Course will be awarded a Master’s degree in Criminology and Police Studies. The training program also includes practical visits to police stations, Safe City projects, FIA, cybercrime, and forensic departments.

The trainee officers thanked the Interior Minister for the improvements in facilities at the National Police Academy. Deputy Commandant of the National Police Academy, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, CDA Member Engineering, and other senior officials were also present during the visit.
