Moscow (Web Desk): Russia has reaffirmed its commitment to continue and further strengthen its strategic relations with Iran.
According to Russian media reports, a high-level meeting took place in Moscow between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, where bilateral relations and regional developments were discussed.
During the meeting, President Putin said he had received a message from Iran’s Supreme Leader and extended his best wishes to him. He also asked the Iranian Foreign Minister to convey his greetings and goodwill.
President Putin expressed hope that the Iranian people would successfully overcome current challenges and that peace and stability would prevail in the region.
He further stated that Russia would continue to do everything possible in the interests of Iran and other regional countries.
On the occasion, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Iran-Russia relations are based on a strategic partnership that continues to grow stronger over time. He also thanked Russia and President Putin for their support to Iran.
Russian media reported that President Putin reiterated Moscow’s intention to maintain and further develop strategic ties with Iran.
