Youm-e-Ashur observed with due solemnity

Islamabad (Web Desk): Youm-e-Ashur, the 10th of Muharram-ul-Haram, is being observed across Pakistan today with deep religious devotion and solemnity to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his loyal companions in the Battle of Karbala.

Mourning processions and religious gatherings are being held in cities and towns across the country, where thousands of mourners are participating to pay tribute to the martyrs of Karbala.

Religious scholars and Zakireen are delivering sermons highlighting the teachings, courage and sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), as well as the significance of the tragedy of Karbala and its enduring message of truth, justice and perseverance.

Traditional Alam, Taazia and Zuljanah processions are also being taken out in different parts of the country to honor the unparalleled sacrifices made by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions for the preservation of Islam.

Stringent security arrangements have been put in place nationwide to ensure the peaceful observance of Ashura, with law enforcement agencies deployed along procession routes and at major religious gatherings to prevent any untoward incidents.
