Google introduces advanced Chrome autofill feature

California (Web Desk): Google has introduced a new advanced autofill feature for the Chrome web browser on Android and iOS devices, making it easier and faster for users to complete online forms on their smartphones.

According to the company, the latest update will simplify tasks such as flight bookings, online registrations, and other web-based forms by allowing Chrome to automatically fill in required information, reducing the time and effort needed to complete forms.

As part of the update, Google is strengthening the integration between Chrome and Google Wallet, enabling the browser to securely access information stored in users' digital wallets and automatically populate relevant fields.

The new feature also supports personal details such as driver's licence numbers, passport information, membership IDs, and other identification data, eliminating the need for users to manually enter these details each time they fill out a form.

Google said that if the required information is not already stored in Google Wallet, users will be able to add it easily through Chrome, which will provide a convenient option to save new information for future use.

The company added that the enhanced autofill experience will improve browsing not only on desktop computers but also on mobile devices, making online form completion more efficient across platforms.

Google emphasized that users will remain in full control of their personal information. Any data will only be saved or used with the user's permission, while sensitive information will be protected through advanced encryption to prevent unauthorized access.

Users will also have the flexibility to review, edit, update, or remove their saved information at any time through their Google Wallet settings.
