Peshawar (Web Desk): The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to delay its proposed Islamabad long march until October 5, party sources revealed on Friday.
According to sources, the protest was previously set to begin on September 27, but the schedule was revised during a meeting of the party’s political committee in Peshawar.
PTI has claimed to organising a large-scale demonstration and march towards Islamabad, with the party seeking the release of its incarcerated founder, Imran Khan, and calling for what it terms the restoration of constitutional supremacy.
The sources added that the revised date will be officially communicated once Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-e-Pakistan (TTAP) chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai and Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) chief and Opposition Leader in Senate Allama Raja Nasir Abbas are consulted and taken into confidence.
