Islamabad (Staff Report): Pakistanis across the country are celebrating Eidul Fitr with great enthusiasm on Monday (today).
Eid congregations held at open places‚ mosques and Eidgahs in all major cities, towns and villages of the country.
In their sermons, Ulema and religious scholars highlighted the significance and philosophy of Eidul Fitr and the need to share its joys with the poor. Special prayers were offered for security, progress and prosperity of the country.
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif felicitated the nation on the joyous occasion.
Security arrangements have been beefed up across the country for the occasion and measures are put in place by the federal and provincial governments to ensure that no disruptions will be created during the day.
