ChatGPT users can now choose from 7 different personalities for customized responses

California  (Web Desk): Millions of people around the world use ChatGPT daily, but did you know that you can now personalize it by selecting from seven distinct personalities?

OpenAI introduced the personalization feature in November 2025, allowing users to enable a specific style or tone for their ChatGPT interactions. This feature does not change ChatGPT’s functionality—it simply adjusts the way the AI communicates with you.

The seven personalities currently available are: Professional, Friendly, Candid, Efficient, Quirky, Nerdy, and Cynical.

To activate this feature, go to Settings in ChatGPT, click on Personalization, and select your preferred personality. Once enabled, you can even give each personality specific instructions to modify how responses are delivered.

For instance, if you want two different answers to the same question, you can enable two personalities to generate varied responses. This feature is available to all users, including those on the free plan, making ChatGPT interactions more engaging, dynamic, and tailored to individual preferences.
