Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz in China on 4-day official visit

Urumqi (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz arrived in China for a four-day official visit aimed at further expanding cooperation between Punjab and the Chinese region of Xinjiang.

She was received at Urumqi International Airport by senior government representatives and diplomatic officials, who extended a warm welcome to the visiting chief minister.

Soon after her arrival, Maryam Nawaz participated in a series of high-level engagements.

Among them was a meeting with a senior Xinjiang delegation headed by Party Secretary Chen Xiaojiang and Deputy Party Secretary of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regional Committee He Zhongyou.

The discussions centred on strengthening cooperation in key areas of mutual interest.

Particular attention was given to agriculture, irrigation and livestock, with both sides exploring opportunities to enhance collaboration and benefit from each other’s experience and expertise.
