DPM Dar, Saudi FM discuss humanitarian situation in Gaza, ongoing genocide and famine

Jeddah (Web Desk): On Monday, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, discussed the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

According to a statement by DPM office, their meeting took place on the sidelines of the emergency session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers in Jeddah, convened in response to the ongoing situation in Palestine.

The talks centred around the grave conditions in Gaza, including what Dar described as genocide, acute famine, and the immediate necessity for a lasting ceasefire. Both sides emphasized the urgency of unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid, the commencement of reconstruction efforts, and the pursuit of a sustainable peace for the region.

Commenting on the interaction, Senator Dar said, “We also reviewed our brotherly bilateral ties in diverse areas and exchanged views on key regional & international developments of mutual interest.”

The deputy premier expressed his pleasure to meet FM of Saudi Arabia on the sidelines of the OIC CFM emergency session in Jeddah on Palestine.

Their exchange not only reflected shared concern over developments in Gaza but also reinforced the commitment to strengthening ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia across multiple sectors.
