DPM Dar inaugurates new chancery building of Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah

Jeddah (Web Desk): Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, officially opened Pakistan’s new chancery building in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Saturday, celebrating the occasion with a distinguished gathering.

The event brought together Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq, Consul General of Pakistan in Jeddah Syed Mustafa Rabbani, senior Saudi officials, prominent Pakistani community members, and consulate staff.

The inauguration featured the raising of the Pakistani flag at the new premises, a tree-planting ceremony on the chancery lawn, cutting of the ribbon, unveiling of the commemorative plaque, and prayers for the welfare of both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Attendees were also shown a brief video outlining the key features of the new facility.

Speaking at the ceremony, Senator Dar commended the Consulate General in Jeddah for their hard work and expressed gratitude to Saudi authorities for their support in making the project a reality.

He highlighted the government’s dedication to providing efficient consular services to Pakistanis living abroad.

After inspecting the building and its modern facilities, the deputy prime minister expressed his satisfaction with the completed project and directed that consular operations be transferred to the new chancery without delay.

With around 1.8 million Pakistanis residing in Saudi Arabia’s Western Region, the new chancery and its facilities are expected to greatly enhance the delivery of services to the community.
