Govt taking steps to empower youth through modern skills: PM Shehbaz

New York (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the government is focusing on preparing Pakistan’s youth for future challenges by providing them with training in modern fields, including information technology and artificial intelligence.

He made the remarks during separate meetings in New York with delegations from the Pakistani community and Pakistani youth residing in the United States.

The Prime Minister said the government is continuing to support talented young people through laptops and scholarships, while efforts are also underway to provide equal educational opportunities to students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds through the Daanish Schools initiative, which he launched during his tenure as Chief Minister of Punjab.

Shehbaz Sharif said work is also in progress to establish a world-class Daanish University aimed at providing young people with quality education and opportunities aligned with modern requirements.

He described talented Pakistanis living abroad as a valuable asset for the country, saying their achievements are a source of pride for the entire nation.

The Prime Minister said he firmly believes that the younger generation has the ability to shape Pakistan’s future and play a significant role in taking the country forward.

During the meetings, Pakistani youth appreciated the government’s initiatives for their development, particularly measures aimed at expanding opportunities in information technology and making it easier to do business.
