Govt providing conducive environment to promote investment, business activities: PM Shehbaz

New York (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the government is working to create a business-friendly atmosphere aimed at attracting investment and expanding economic activity across Pakistan.

He expressed these views during separate meetings in New York with US-based Pakistani business leaders and professionals associated with information technology, artificial intelligence, automobiles, energy, construction and several other sectors.

The Prime Minister described Pakistani business leaders and professionals abroad as ambassadors of the country, saying their work and achievements internationally help present a positive image of Pakistan. He also encouraged them to explore investment opportunities in the country.

Shehbaz Sharif said reforms introduced at the Federal Board of Revenue have contributed towards resolving key concerns raised by the business community.

He added that the government is giving particular attention to initiatives designed to introduce innovation in agriculture and speed up the sector’s growth.

The participating business leaders and professionals expressed appreciation for the Prime Minister’s leadership and welcomed the government’s measures in agriculture, industry and exports, with particular recognition for the reforms carried out at the FBR.
