PM invites Qatari investors to explore new avenues of collaboration

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has urged Qatari investors to seize emerging opportunities for partnership within the framework of Pakistan’s Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

In a meeting with Qatar’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani, held in Islamabad, the prime minister emphasized the need to elevate trade and investment ties between the two nations.

He pointed out promising avenues for collaboration in the fields of energy, agriculture, food security, information technology, tourism, and infrastructure development.

PM Shehbaz voiced satisfaction over the growing momentum in Pakistan-Qatar relations, describing them as a reflection of shared faith, mutual respect, and long-standing friendship.

He commended Qatar for its constructive role as a key regional partner and mediator and appreciated Doha’s continued support for Pakistan on regional and international platforms

The Qatari minister conveyed greetings from the leadership of Qatar and reaffirmed his country’s determination to expand its economic partnership with Pakistan.

He observed that the 6th Session of the Pakistan-Qatar Joint Ministerial Commission, which he co-chaired, served as a vital forum to review existing cooperation and identify new areas for mutually beneficial ventures.

Both sides agreed to sustain close engagement aimed at turning their shared objectives into practical outcomes, including enhanced business-to-business interaction and facilitation of investment initiatives.
