Gaza (Web Desk): Despite the ceasefire, Israeli forces continue to obstruct the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, exacerbating the suffering of the local population. According to Arab media, two weeks after the truce, the people of Gaza still face an acute shortage of food and water, with the humanitarian crisis worsening by the day.
The World Health Organization (WHO) and 41 other international organizations have accused Israel of deliberately blocking the entry of relief supplies, warning that the ongoing restrictions are deepening the already dire humanitarian situation in the besieged enclave.
The United Nations has sounded the alarm that nearly one-fourth of Gaza’s population, including around 11,000 pregnant women, is suffering from severe malnutrition.
The UN report further cautioned that the worsening food crisis will have long-term and devastating effects not only on the current generation but also on future generations in Gaza.
