Renowned actor Jamshed Ansari remembered on death anniversary 

Karachi (Web Desk): The 21st death anniversary of famous radio, television and film actor Jamshed Ansari is being observed today (Monday), with his contributions to the country’s entertainment industry being remembered.
Jamshed Ansari was born on December 31, 1942.

He became widely known for portraying Safdar in ‘Hamid Mian Kay Haan’, regarded as the longest-running radio programme in Pakistan.

His journey on television began with his first play produced by Karachi Television, titled ‘Ghora Ghaas Khata Hai’.

Over a career that extended for more than four decades, Ansari established himself as a versatile performer.

Ansari’s body of work included more than 200 television dramas, three films and a large number of radio programmes.

His artistic achievements were recognised with 55 national awards as well as two international honours.

Jamshed Ansari passed away in Karachi on August 24, 2005.
