Field Marshal Asim Munir, Mohsin Naqvi meet Iranian interior minister in Tehran

Tehran (Web Desk): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met Iran’s Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni in Tehran on Monday, following his arrival in Tehran for talks aimed at advancing regional peace and stability.

According to Iranian media, the meeting took place as part of CDF Munir's official engagements during his visit to Iran, where discussions will be held with focus on regional security and measures to strengthen peace and stability.

Iranian news agency Fars reported that Field Marshal Munir is also scheduled to meet with other senior Iranian officials during his stay in Tehran.

The meetings will provide an opportunity to exchange views on regional developments and issues of mutual interest.

Earlier, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, accompanied by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, left for Iran as part of Pakistan’s efforts to promote regional peace and stability.

"During the visit, the Field Marshal will focus on promoting efforts towards a peaceful, lasting and comprehensive resolution of the conflict in the Middle East," the ISPR said.
