Iraq: President Zardari pays visit to holy sites in Najaf and Kufa

Baghdad (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari visited the revered cities of Najaf and Kufa on Tuesday as part of his religious tour, where he spent time at significant Islamic sites and offered special prayers.

His visit began in Najaf, where he went to the shrine of Hazrat Ali (RA), recited Fateha, and prayed at the sacred place.

Later the president travelled to Kufa, offering Nawafil prayers at Masjid-e-Kufa and paying a visit to the home traditionally linked to Hazrat Ali (RA).

During these moments of devotion, the president prayed for peace, unity, and harmony within the Muslim Ummah.
In addition to the religious engagements, President Zardari met with local administrators and prominent religious scholars in both Najaf and Kufa.

These meetings were also attended by the governor of Najaf and other senior officials.
