Iranian president says Breach of commitments, blockade and threats are main obstacles to genuine negotiations

Tehran (Web Desk): Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that Iran remains open to negotiations based on justice, dignity, and wisdom; however, he said that broken promises, maritime blockades, and continuous threats are the major obstacles to meaningful dialogue.

The Iranian leadership reiterated its firm stance that while the doors of diplomacy remain open, any talks must be held on an equal footing.

Meanwhile, head of Iran’s negotiating committee Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned regarding the ceasefire situation, stating that a complete truce depends on the other party not violating any agreement terms.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani also described diplomacy as the best tool for protecting national interests, adding that Iran will not compromise on its core rights.
