Tehran (Web Desk): Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has issued a strong response to recent American threats and statements, declaring that the Iranian nation, government and military leadership stand united like an “iron wall” against external pressure.
He made it clear that Iran would never accept any agreement imposed through intimidation or humiliation.
Addressing a gathering in Tehran, President Pezeshkian said Iran supports “dignified diplomacy” and relations with the international community based on equality and mutual respect.
However, he warned that the United States should understand that threats and economic pressure would never force Tehran into accepting foreign demands. “Our history proves that we have never surrendered to pressure, and we will not do so now,” he stated.
Iran has also formally urged the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General to take immediate notice of what it described as ongoing American actions against Iranian commercial vessels in international waters.
Tehran maintains that harassing commercial ships constitutes a serious violation of international law and warned that Washington’s actions are putting global trade and maritime regulations at risk. Iran called on the UN to prevent the United States from continuing what it termed “illegal measures.”
The Iranian president further said that hostile forces are attempting to create divisions between Iran’s government and military leadership, but stressed that the country is now more united than ever before.
He added that Iran’s armed forces are fully equipped and remain prepared at all times to defend the country’s borders and national interests.
